If you have any questions about using the program, you may find answers below.

Frequently asked questions about Atomic Mail Verifier:
  1. I received an error message stating,”Error: Domain does not exist”.

This error can occur if certain settings in the program are incorrect. To eliminate errors, go to “Settings” – “General Settings” – ” DNS”. Enter the following data:

    • DNS server addresses: primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4
    • streams 3, attempts 1

You also have to specify the HELO value and any valid email address.

  2. Why does the message “Mailbox doesn’t exist”, appear if the address is valid?

Most likely, your program can not connect to the server through port-25. This happens when it is blocked by an antivirus/firewall or your Internet provider. In this case, you won’t be able to check email addresses, only syntax and domain.

Use the Telnet service to check if port 25 is open. Make sure Telnet is installed on your computer. To run the service, enter “cmd” in the command line (“Start” – “Run”). Then enter “telnet smtp.com 25″ (without the quotation marks) and press OK. If port 25 is open, an empty black screen or the greeting message (code 220) will appear.

  3. Why are addresses marked red during the verification process? What do these errors mean?

Email addresses displayed with the statuses “Checking blocked” or “Connection error” can be both existing and non-existent adresses. This occurs because the server blocks the process of verification. Alas, a solution for this problem does not exist.

“Domain does not exist” means that the domain address is not available. The email list cleaning software cannot connect to the remote server to check email addresses for existence.

“Mailbox does not exist” means that the program cannot connect to the server through port-25. Unfortunately, the address verification option will not work in this case, but syntax and domain check is still available.

If you are absolutely sure that the address does not exist, and the program marks it as “Mailbox exists”, this is due to the fact that many servers, when trying to connect, always respond with a message that begins with 22x, without checking whether such a recipient exists on the server or not. Alas, a solution for this problem does not exist.
